Acephate 75% SP is a broad-spectrum organophosphate insecticide formulated as a Soluble Powder (SP). It is highly effective against a wide range of sucking and chewing pests in numerous agricultural crops. Its systemic action allows it to be absorbed and translocated within the plant, providing comprehensive protection from the inside out.
Mode of Action:
Acephate 75% SP functions as both a contact and systemic insecticide. Its primary mode of action is the inhibition of the enzyme acetylcholinesterase (AChE) in the insect's nervous system. This leads to an accumulation of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, causing continuous nerve impulse transmission, which results in overstimulation, paralysis, and ultimately the death of the pest. Pests are controlled through both direct contact and ingestion of the treated plant tissue. The insecticide is readily absorbed by the plant's roots and leaves, allowing it to move throughout the plant and control hidden pests.

Cotton: To control pests like Jassids, Thrips, and Whiteflies, a dosage of 330 grams per acre is recommended. For bollworms, the dosage is 750 grams per acre.
Celery & Head Lettuce: For Green Peach Aphid and other pests, a dosage of 2/3 to 1 1/3 lbs per acre is common.
General Application: A common mixing rate is 1 gram per liter of water. It is crucial to dissolve the soluble powder completely in water before spraying.
