How It Works (Mode of Action)

KF-Tembo operates as an HPPD (4-Hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase) inhibitor. Upon application, it is rapidly absorbed by the weed's foliage and roots, moving systemically throughout the plant. It disrupts the synthesis of protective plant pigments (carotenoids). Without these pigments, the weed's chlorophyll is destroyed by sunlight, leading to rapid "bleaching" (turning white), followed by complete necrosis and death within 1 to 2 weeks.

Application Guidelines

• Optimal Timing: Apply post-emergence when weeds are actively growing, ideally at the 2 to 4-leaf stage.

• Water Volume: Use 150-200 Liters of water per acre to ensure thorough and uniform foliage coverage.
