Concentrated Liquid Calcium 11%:

Concentrated Liquid Calcium 11% is a premium, high-efficacy liquid fertilizer designed to correct calcium deficiencies in crops rapidly. Calcium is often called the "cement" of the plant, as it is the primary building block of cell walls. However, Calcium is naturally immobile within plants, making it difficult for roots to transport it to fruits and new leaves. This concentrated liquid formulation is complexed for superior absorption and mobility, ensuring that calcium reaches the critical growing points and developing fruits effectively. It is the ultimate solution for preventing physiological disorders like Blossom End Rot, fruit cracking, and tip burn.

Mode of Action:

Concentrated Liquid Calcium 11% functions as a structural stabilizer and physiological regulator:

  1. Cell Wall Integrity: Calcium forms "Calcium Pectate" in the middle lamella of cell walls, acting as a glue that holds cells together. This thickens and strengthens the cell walls, making fruits firmer and more resistant to cracking.

  2. Cell Division: It is essential for the rapid division of cells in root tips and shoot tips (meristems), ensuring vigorous vegetative growth.

  3. Stress & Disease Resistance: Stronger cell walls create a physical barrier against fungal and bacterial pathogen invasion. It also improves the plant's tolerance to heat stress.

  4. Shelf-Life Extension: By maintaining cell turgidity and structure, it significantly extends the shelf life and storage quality of the produce.

Primary Uses and Target Crops:

This product is critical for high-value horticultural crops, particularly those susceptible to calcium-related disorders.

Key target crops include:

  • Vegetables: Tomato, Capsicum (Bell Pepper), Chili, Lettuce, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Cucumber

  • Fruits: Apple, Pomegranate, Citrus, Grapes, Banana, Watermelon, Papaya

  • Tubers: Potato (prevents internal rust spot)

  • Legumes: Groundnut (improves pod filling)

  • Flowers: Roses, Carnations (for stronger stems)

Application and Dosage:

Concentrated Liquid Calcium 11% is primarily applied as a Foliar Spray for immediate results, but can also be used in Fertigation.

The recommended dosage varies by crop stage (Critical stages: Flowering and Fruit Setting):

  • Foliar Spray: Mix 2 to 3 ml per liter of water.

    • Tomato/Peppers: Spray at the onset of flowering and repeat every 10–15 days to prevent Blossom End Rot.

    • Fruit Trees: Apply during fruit development to prevent cracking.

    • Leafy Vegetables: Apply during the head formation stage to prevent Tip Burn.

  • Fertigation (Drip): Apply 1 to 2 liters per acre.

  • General Mixing Rate: A common mixing rate is 2 ml to 3 ml per liter of water. Thoroughly spray the fruit and new leaves, as calcium moves poorly inside the plant.

Target Benefits / Deficiency Correction:

This product specifically targets physiological disorders caused by localized calcium deficiency.

Key benefits include:

  • Prevents Disorders: Effectively controls Blossom End Rot (BER) in tomatoes/peppers, Bitter Pit in apples, Tip Burn in lettuce/cabbage, and Black Heart in celery.

  • Reduces Cracking: prevents fruit cracking in pomegranate, cherry, and citrus.

  • Improves Quality: Increases fruit firmness, crunchiness, and transportability.

  • Extended Storage: Significantly improves the keeping quality and shelf life of fruits and vegetables.

  • Root Growth: Promotes healthy white root development.

Safety Precautions:

Standard safety practices for chemical fertilizers should be followed.

Key safety recommendations include:

  • Compatibility Warning: Do not mix with fertilizers containing Phosphorus (DAP, 12:61:0) or Sulphur (Sulphates) in the same tank, as Calcium reacts with them to form insoluble precipitates (clogging nozzles). Perform a jar test if unsure.

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Wear gloves and goggles when handling the concentrate.

  • Handling Practices: Wash hands thoroughly after use. Do not eat, drink, or smoke while handling the product.

  • Environmental Safety: Do not apply directly to water bodies.

Storage:

Store the product in its original container in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place. Keep the cap tightly closed when not in use to prevent evaporation or contamination. Keep away from direct sunlight, food, and animal feed. Keep out of reach of children.
