100% Water Soluble (NPK 12:61:0):
100% Water Soluble (NPK 12:61:0), chemically known as Mono-Ammonium Phosphate (MAP), is a premium, fully water-soluble fertilizer. It contains 12% Nitrogen (in ammoniacal form) and 61% Phosphorus (P₂O₅). It is characterized by its high purity and ability to dissolve instantly in water, making it immediately available to plants. This formulation is known as the best "starter fertilizer" because it provides a concentrated burst of phosphorus essential for root establishment and early vegetative growth, while the low nitrogen content ensures steady growth without encouraging excessive leafiness.
Mode of Action:
This fertilizer works through rapid systemic absorption and rhizosphere modification:
Instant Nutrient Availability: Being 100% water-soluble, the nutrients are immediately dissolved and absorbed by the root system or foliage.
Root Zone Acidification: The ammonium nitrogen in the formulation slightly lowers the pH of the soil surrounding the roots. This acidity helps unlock and solubilize other essential nutrients (like micronutrients) present in the soil, making them easier for the plant to absorb.
Metabolic Boost: The high phosphorus content fuels energy transfer (ATP) within the plant, which is critical for cell division, root elongation, and the initiation of flowering.
Primary Uses and Target Crops:
It is primarily used to establish strong root systems in young plants and to stimulate vigorous flowering and fruit setting in mature crops.
Key target crops include:
Vegetables: Tomato, Potato, Onion, Chili, Capsicum, Cauliflower
Fruits: Pomegranate, Grapes, Banana, Papaya, Citrus, Watermelon
Field Crops: Cotton, Sugarcane, Maize, Wheat, Groundnut
Flowers: Roses, Marigolds, Gerbera, Carnations
Application and Dosage:
100% Water Soluble (NPK 12:61:0) is highly versatile and suitable for both Foliar Spray and Fertigation (Drip).
The recommended dosage varies by crop stage:
Foliar Spray: Dissolve 5 to 8 grams per liter of water. Apply before flowering and during the fruit-setting stage to reduce flower drop.
Fertigation (Drip): Apply 3 to 5 kg per acre. This is most effective when applied shortly after transplanting to encourage root growth, or just before the reproductive stage.
Compatibility: It is compatible with most agrochemicals but should NOT be mixed with Calcium or Magnesium fertilizers (like Calcium Nitrate) in the same tank, as this can cause precipitation (clogging).
Target Benefits:
This product is designed to address specific growth requirements and nutrient deficiencies.
Key benefits include:
Root Establishment: Promotes rapid and deep root development in seedlings and transplants.
Flowering: Induces uniform and profuse flowering.
Fruit Setting: Minimizes flower abortion and improves fruit set.
Drought Tolerance: A stronger root system improves the plant's ability to survive water stress.
Yield Quality: Enhances the size, texture, and keeping quality of the produce.
Safety Precautions:
Standard safety practices for handling concentrated fertilizers should be followed.
Key safety recommendations include:
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Wear protective gloves and glasses when handling the powder to prevent skin irritation.
Handling Practices: Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after use. Do not eat, drink, or smoke while handling the product.
Environmental Safety: Avoid excessive use to prevent nutrient runoff into local water sources.
Storage:
Store the product in its original container in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place. The product is hygroscopic (absorbs moisture), so ensure the bag is tightly sealed immediately after use to prevent the powder from hardening. Keep away from direct sunlight, food, and animal feed.
